It was a few weeks ago when I was the wedding photographer for Chloe and Matt. The Great Lodge located in Great Bardfield was a perfect choice for their wedding with Rebecca’s relaxed approach and the venues beautiful canvas which you can really make your own! I was delighted at the opportunity of capturing at The Great Lodge again, each and every wedding I have photographed there has been amazing and always fun and relaxed.

I started recording Chloe’s story as preparations begun in the morning at the new bridal preparation rooms that Rebecca and her team have recently finished, they look amazing! The details, the atmosphere, the smiles; it was all there and a great start to the day.

They were able to have their ceremony outdoors too thanks to the amazing weather!! It was the perfect setting for Chloe and Matt to tie the knot, with friends and family looking on, some of which had traveled long distances to share this with them. Shooting in places in and around Essex remind me of how fortunate I am as a wedding photographer to photograph in the locations I do.

Drinks were served generously for guests to enjoy whilst they were entertained with lawn games and canopies!

After the speeches it was Alpaca feeding, a highlight for me and everyone else at this venue! They are shy at first but they soon get stuck in!

Later on I spotted the sun going down, knowing Matt and Chloe would be up for it we went chasing the light, literally! Over fields and through the crops! Chloe really didn’t care! And worth it too, we got our sunset!

As the evening drew in, some epic tunes by the band invited the newlyweds and their guests to rock the dance floor.

All in all I had a blast at Chloe and Matt’s wedding and I thoroughly enjoyed telling their story.
