Elaine and Chris, what a couple! I met up with them on Monday at Down Hall in Hertfordshire for their pre wedding session, we went through their plans again and took a walk around the grounds for some photos, I use these sessions as an opportunity to give some tips and for them to see that its just a bit of fun., or more like they showed me it was just a bit of fun! What a laugh, great couple and an absolute pleasure to photograph, I don’t think there will be a dull moment on the day! As with all my couples one of these images will be printed and presented as a signing board for their guests to sign during their reception.

On with some photos….

Be romantic I said, whisper sweet nothings in to her ear I said…..

Elaine and Chris-011

Last week I photographed the wedding of Suzie and Chris at Braxted Park, I started the day at Suzie’s Mums cottage where Suzie and the bridesmaids were getting ready, everyone was very relaxed and the food and champagne were flowing! They were married at the All saints Church that is situated within the Braxted Park grounds which meant afterwards the guests could enjoy a leisurely stroll back to Braxted Park afterwards while Suzie and Chris were taken for a spin in their wedding car! The weather was beautiful and everyone was clearly having a lovely time celebrating their marriage:)The speeches were fantastic, the best man did a great job with a survival pack for Chris and there was even a game of MR and MRS! Great fun!

I left shortly after first dance (they did a great routine) as everyone was tucking in to the chocolate fountain, energy for the dancing ahead I am sure:)

Here are just a few photos from the day… please feel free to leave a comment below:)

Wedding Photography at Newland Hall by Matt Heath

Recently I was lucky enough to be the photographer for Antonia and Jonny’s beautiful wedding at Newland Hall in Chelmsford.  I first met them at the start of 2013 when they visited the office and I knew straight away it was going to be a fun day so was very pleased they booked me as their wedding photographer. We did their pre wedding photo’s in Wapping where they live and that confirmed for me that they were going to be great to work with! So the day came, Antonia had put so much time and effort in to planning this and it really showed, the attention to detail was amazing! I met up with Antonia and the bridesmaids in the morning for a few preperation photos before heading to Newland Hall to meet Jonny and the guys, everyone was relaxed and in great spirits! And better still, the weather! Sunshine and plenty of it! The ceremony was lovely, the smiles and looks on their faces said it all, pure joy.

It really was a pleasure to be a part of and I know I say this a lot but I really have the best clients! So on with a few photos from the day, feel free to leave a message below:)

Newland Hall wedding photos by Matt Heath Photography

On Saturday I took a trip over to the beautiful village Layer de la Haye in Colchester for the wedding of Laura and Mark, I had a good idea that it was going to be a great day, having met Laura, Mark and her Dad previously I knew how much effort was being put in to this and was looking forward to it! On the way down I drove through torrential rain and the forecast wasnt great, my fingers were crossed that it would be dry when we needed it to be! So the wedding was being held at Laura’s fathers beautiful home with a marquee in the garden, when I arrived I met up with Laura and her bridesmaids to capture some of the preparations, the champagne had been opened and everyone was excited! I then moved on to the village church to meet up with Mark and the boys (still no rain), after a few photos and once guests had arrived and been seated I waited for Laura to arrive, you certainly couldn’t miss her coming down the road, she was in a beautiful Riley! After a lovely ceremony we took planned trip to a near by bird reserve for a few photo’s but it was so windy we didn’t stay long and finished of the photos back at the house, not that I’m complaining, its a lovely place to photograph:)Once we arrive guests were already on the lawn enjoying drinks and canopies (best pork ever) and then it happened, the heavens opened!! Everyone took cover in the marquee and carried on celebrating whilst I kept a close eye on the rain, soon as it stopped we went back out, got all the group shots done and took their wedding portraits using all the gardens had to offer, and just in time before the rain started again! I have to say I was made ever so welcome by everyone and was great to be a part of, Laura and Mark were clearly having the best time and were just so happy!

Below are a few photos from the day, feel free to leave any comments below:)

On Monday I took a trip to Maldon to meet up with Laura and Will who will be getting Married in August, a lovely day (if a little windy!) and was good to catch up with them and hear about their plans! So we took a walk around Maldon Promenade  for some pre wedding photos, I do these sessions simply to get my clients used to the camera and its also a great chance for us to work together before the big day. As a bonus one of these images will be chosen to be printed and presented at their reception for their guests to sign which always seems to go down well!

Both Will and Laura are in to photography so we may of even had a bit of geeky camera talk too! Looking forward to their wedding day which sounds to be a lot of fun:)
