Last week I took a trip in to London to meet up with Suzie and Chris for their pre wedding photo’s,they both liked the idea of the iconic backdrops on offer and although a tricky place to shoot (think embankment at 6pm) I am always up for a challenge:)We had a good walk round (I was being fussy about the light, never where I want it) to get the best out of the backdrops and hats off to them, they did extremely well, the photos don’t show it but it was busy!! So really the idea of these sessions is simply to give a few pointers and and to have a little practice so they know what to expect on the day, one of these images will also be chose to be printed and displayed at their wedding reception as a signing board for their guests to sign, a lovely keepsake!

Great catching up with them and very much looking forward to their wedding! Not long now:)

Feedback…

“Hi Matt, These are amazing!! We’re so pleased with them, thank you very much! I’m very impressed with how you’ve managed to make it look like we’re the only people in London during the after work rush hour!”

Prested Hall pre wedding photos-014

Great to catch up with Enzo and Jen, at one of my favourite venues too! Not long now till their wedding and it sounds like their plans have all come together! Really looking forward to the wedding, a great couple and an absolute pleasure to photograph. So we had a wonder around after catching up and going through ideas, the images below are from our practice session, its basically a chance to get in front of the camera and to see just how easy it it, they seemed to enjoy it and I know they will do just fine on the day!

I provide wedding photography across Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and surrounding counties so please do get in touch if you are planning a wedding:)

I was recently back at Down Hall to catch up with Hayley and Dom as their wedding is fast approaching. Great to hear all their plans are coming together and it sounds to be good fun day! We took the opportunity to take their pre wedding photos, these sessions are nothing more than a practice session, to give them a chance to get in front of the camera and get a taste for how their portrait session will run on the day.  Both were great and will do absolutely fine:)As a bonus one of these images will be chosen to be printed and presented at their reception as a signing board for their guests to sign, something I find always goes down well and is a great keepsake.

Wapping Portrait Photography-006

Last week I took a trip to Wapping in London to meet up with Antonia and Jonny who will be getting married in May this year, their flat backs on to the river Thames and gave us a beautiful backdrop! After a catch up we took a walk for their pre wedding photos, they were both very relaxed in front of the camera and will do just fine on the day! We had some lovely evening light which made for some great backlit shots which work great for city scenery. All in all good fun and definitely looking forward to their wedding day! One of these images will be chosen to be printed and presented at their wedding reception as a signing board for their guests to sign:)

Leez Priory wedding photographer

Leez Priory wedding photographer, photos

On Sunday I was at the beautiful Essex wedding venue Leez Priory in Chelmsford, so blessed with gorgeous sunshine, what better day for a wedding? I started the day with Louise and the bridesmaids, everyone was very relaxed and organised, always a good sign! Having met Louise and Dan a couple of times before I knew it was going to be a relaxed, fun day and indeed it was! After their ceremony it was in to the court yard for reception drinks and canopies whilst the quartet played some background music which was beautiful. After a few group photos it was off for a short walk around the grounds Leez Priory has to offer for some bride and groom portraits. As always the staff at Leez priory were very efficient and put on a delicious wedding breakfast! Some great speeches by the guys too! All in all an absolute pleasure to be a part of, Louise and Dan are now enjoying their honeymoon so will be busy preparing their proofs for their return!

Here are a few images from the day, feel free to leave a comment below:)And if you or any one you know is getting married and looking for a wedding photographer please consider me, I cover Essex, Hertfordshire…. well, all over really:)

I received these kind words from Louise and Dan, which to me makes all the effort worthwhile….

” Just wanted to say thank you so much Matt. Our wedding photos are fabulous – we are so pleased with them. You really captured every moment of the day and we love love love the evening shots outside which we have never seen another wedding photographer do before. You were such a delight to have around on the day – fun, calm and professional. We have had so many positive comments from our guests about you. After a great pre wedding shoot we had absolutely no doubt that we had chosen an awesome wedding photographer. “
