Alex and Claire had their wedding at the weekend at the Great Hallingbury Manor in Bishops Stortford and had me along to photograph it for them. Having met them a couple of times I knew it was going to be a fun, relaxed day so I had been looking forward to it! I started with Claire in the morning for a few preparation shots before meeting up with the guys, everyone was completely chilled:)The bridesmaids were absolute stars, in fact they were extremely keen to have their photos taken and took every opportunity! After the ceremony it was outside for some reception drinks and and photos before heading in for their wedding breakfast (which I should consisted of a rather nice piece of lamb). On to some great speeches which was followed by coffees, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. I left just after the first dance and it was clear everyone was having a great time that I am sure continued in to the night!

Here are some photos from the day! Feel free to leave a comment….

Recently I photographed the wedding of Kate and Paul, they were married at st Mary’s church, harrow on the hill and had their wedding reception at the beautiful Hunton Park in Hertfordshire which is a charming Queen Anne house set in 22 acres of stunning grounds! So I started the day with Kate and the bridesmaids, capturing some of the preperations before heading to the church to meet up with Paul and their guests who arrived by coach. The ceremony was beautiful and full of happiness! Afterwards it was off to Hunton Park, Kate and Paul obviously travelled in style in a rather nice Bentley! As the sun was shining everyone got to enjoy drinks on the lawn and it made a perfect setting for their group shots. We took 15 mins to have a quick walk around for their portraits too before it was time for their wedding breakfast. Some cracking speeches which I kind of expected as Paul is a bit of a character! Afterwards just before it got too dark we went back out for a couple of night shots, one of which you can see above. All in all a great day and a real pleasure to be a part of. They clearly enjoyed it too and as I left the party was getting in to full swing:)

Nancy and Grant had their beautiful wedding at Down Hall Country House Hotel in Essex, I had really been looking forward to this, I knew from previous meetings it was going to be a fun, relaxed day and it certainly delivered! I joined them in the morning for a few preparation shots, everyone was very laid back with no stress to be found, just a few empty bottles or 2! They had a lovely ceremony which was full of laughter, which tbh carried on throughout the day:)An absolute pleasure to photograph, a great couple and fantastic guests! During the reception drinks we found the time to have a wonder round the stunning grounds Down Hall provides which was perfect for their portraits, back in time for their wedding breakfast which was followed by some great speeches and a slideshow which had Grant hiding for cover! Great first dance too with a great dance floor and lighting set-up by Lovelight.

True to form the staff at Down Hall were fantastic, looking after everybody and of course Mark Greatbatch their toastmaster did a sterling job!

All in all a fantastic day that was a pleasure to be a part of, if you are planning a wedding at Down Hall please get in touch! Below are some of my favourites from the day, feel free to leave a comment:)

Coltsfoot country Retreat wedding photos-032

Recently I returned to Coltsfoot Country Retreat in Datchworth to photograph the wedding of Julia and Steve, they had planned a lovely wedding with close friends and family and wanted it to be a relaxed day that everyone could enjoy. So much effort went in to the details, dresses and the overall planning and it really payed off for them, everything looked amazing! An absolute pleasure to be a part of, just a relaxed, happy day with great people! the staff at coltsfoot were once again fantastic, looking after everyone including myself and my good friend Simon who had teamed up with me for the day, I highly recommend Coltsfoot Country Retreat to anyone looking for a boutique wedding venue.
